Issuance of Permanent Residence in Kenya is regulated by section 37, 38, and 39 of the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act, 2011.
This applies to Kenya citizens by birth who renounced Kenya citizenship and their country of domicile deny them the opportunity to hold dual citizenship.
Lawful residents who have held work permits for a minimum of seven (7) years and have been resident in Kenya continuously for three (3) years preceding the application are eligible to apply for Permanent Residence.
This applies to children born to Kenyan parent(s) but also hold another Nationality that does not allow dual citizenship or if they were born before the parent acquired Kenya citizenship.
This applies to those married to Kenyan Citizens for a period exceeding three years and the marriage is bona fide.
